Goebbert’s is a family owned pumpkin patch and farm market, celebrating its 65th year in 2013. We are located in Hampshire, Illinois. We treat our employees as family and love our customers. If you have not been to our farm, we would love for you to give us a try.
In 1985, we purchased this 200 acre farm in Hampshire, Illinois. This location has a shorter season where we are open to the general public, but we are plenty busy throughout the entire year. Throughout our off-season, we are keeping up on maintenance work around the farm for our equipment and various buildings on the farm. Also, we are devoting quite a bit of time towards new ideas to make our farm & fall festival a better experience for you and your family.
In the middle of February, we begin the spring planting of our annuals that will be sold in the greenhouses at Goebbert’s Farm & Garden Center. Our greenhouses will be filled to capacity with grab & go planters, hanging baskets, 4″ pots, herbs and more just waiting to be moved over to South Barrington so we can keep on growing!
From April 15th to July 15th, we begin planting our vegetable crops & pumpkin plants – the sweet corn and tomatoes are put into the ground and harvested when ready. By July 15th, our roadside vegetable stand is open where you can purchase a variety of our homegrown produce.
In mid August, we open our fields up for U-Pick where you can come and pick hot & sweet peppers, tomatoes, tomatillos, eggplant and corn leaves.
In late September, we open up our fall festival where you can enjoy a variety of our fall activities including a ride on the Goebbert’s Pumpkin Express, a walk through our corn stalk maze, pig races, various animals and many other fun activities including an up close experience with a giraffe and a wagon ride into the field to pick your pumpkin off the vine. We have fall produce, pumpkins, caramel apples, fresh apple cider donuts, homemade fudge and Michigan apples in the Fall Harvest Market. We close on October 31st and start preparing and planning for the upcoming year.
We hope you’ll join us at our Farm Stand, in our U-Pick fields or on our grounds for our Fall Festival – there is plenty to do for everyone and we encourage you to give us a try!
